Valentines' Day

My Valentine's was never this eventful.

X came by my place last night and we had a movie marathon into the wee hours of the morning, watching Paycheck and Pink Panther, snacking on Ruffles and wine. *Yum* but I had some averse reaction, and developed hives. I must have freaked out my mum when she woke up to check whether we were asleep, and I showed her my legs covered in weals.

Sidetrack: This was the best marathon we ever had despite the itchy scratchy part. Both shows were very entertaining. Paycheck was thrilling, stimulating, whereas Pink Panther was a superb comedy. I don't remember ever laughing so much in one show! Go watch it (if you haven't) before you watch Pink Panther 2.

Around noon, X accompanied me to the doctor's. I got a jab that put me to a very drowsy mode. We were supposed to eat at Kuishinbo but I was falling asleep even as I walk. -.-''' So X told me to go home and get a nap instead, and get ready and leave the house around 6 for Chinatown. I could tell he didn't want to tell me the plans at first, but seeing that I had fallen ill, he told me anyways so that I could get my ill body ready, lol.

So we reached our destination at appointment time.

"To relax after your EMCC." Heheh.
Pictures taken off here.

That really soothed some of the itchiness from the hives I'd just developed. (:

We had some tasty local fare at the the nearby Food Street in Chinatown for dinner. But the ngoh hiang there was really disappointing. We realised that as tourists, you probably can't get the best food in town if you just follow the tourist guidebooks. The best ngoh hiang and beehoon I've ever had is this stall at the Choa Chu Kang Interchange (Blk 302), and we were always disappointed when we tried other "acclaimed" stalls. If you ever come to CCK, just trot across the bus bay and try this. It's absolutely affordabable and delicious.

On the way home, dearie passed me the gift that he prevented me from lying on in the nick of time, one fine evening after dance practice, in his bag.

Despite my "good taste" in $10 watches, he couldn't stand it when my watches kept stalling.

Although we readily agreed that Valentine's Day was a super commercialised day where food and flowers easily cost twice the normal price, he still made plans for us to indulge in this day. No flowers, no expensive restaurants, but I still had a very enjoyable 1.5 days with him. (:

Baby: Thanks for being so supportive, and for being there when I felt really down and needed an encouraging pull. I'll make it up when my sem break comes, soon. For now I have no time to go shopshop. >< Thanks so much baby (: for the really indulgent and memorable day. 被宠坏了 ''^_^'' 一言难尽。ILY.

ps:/ No pictures from the camera, cos somehow I can't upload to my computer from the cam. :( and it has super lousy motion detection. Sighs. I should get my own instead of using my dad's.
